Discovered Web is a high quality Web Directory with reasonable listing standards.  Below are some of the rules and guidelines our experienced editors are required to follow.

Listing Types

This is a family friendly directory.  We do not permit casino, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or adult themed websites to appear in this directory.

Site Title

When we list a website, we typically use the business name as the title of the listing (the portion that is linked).  Please use your official business or site name when submitting your website for review.

Site URL

Under most circumstance we link to the main page (homepage) of a Website.  Only if an interior pages has substantially different information then the homepage will we list the interior page of a website.

Site Description

Most website descriptions can be adequately presented to our visitors with one long or two short sentences.  When submitting your website for review, please consider this and write a short but concise description for your website.

Submission E-mail Address

We require a valid E-mail address to be used for each submission.  Since we offer yearly listings, it is important that we can notify you when your listing is about to expire.  Additionally, we may need to contact you should there be a problem with your listing at a future date.  For security reasons, any requested modifications to an existing listing must come from the E-mail address that the listing was originally submitted under.  Please use a valid and frequently checked E-mail address when submitting your site!

Suggested Category Placement

All listings will appear in the deepest and most appropriate sub-category available.  In the event that a suitable sub-category does not exist, our editors will create it and then place the listing in that category.  Should this occur for a newly submitted yearly listing, three months will be added onto the initial billing term.  Instead of renewing at one year, that listing which appears in a new category will renew in fifteen months.

General Rules

Our editors are required to maintain a quality directory.  To do so, Discovered Web reserves the right to edit submissions and category placement as needed to comply with our listing standards.  We also reserve the right to promptly remove listings which no longer comply with our listing guidelines.

If a submission is initially rejected, we will work with the submitter to resolve any problems if possible.  In the event that we are unable to resolve the problem, or bring the listing into compliance with our guidelines, the submission fee will be refunded minus a 20% administrative fee.  This is the only circumstance under which we provide a refund.

Should a listing's URL become unavailable, or if the theme has substantially changed, the listing will be permanently removed from our directory.

Submission Review Fee Payments

The yearly listing option must be renewed after one year.  If the listing is not renewed, it shall be promptly removed from our directory.

Revisions

We reserve the right to modify these guidelines and our pricing structure.
